30% 5G availability in India in nine months: OpenSignal

In India, two of the leading private operators —Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel — are rolling out 5G services since October last year and in just nine months, 5G availability has reached 29.9%. OpenSignal has analysed some of the 5G experience benchmarks for the period from March 1-May 29, 2023.OpenSignal Report Highlights 5G AVAILABILITY: In India, 5G availability stood at 29.9%.
5G services were launched in October last year in India. South Korea and Puerto Rico lead in worldwide 5G availability with 5G users in these markets approaching half of time spent with an active 5G connection with scores of 42.9% and 48.4% respectively. 5G DOWNLOAD SPEED AND UPLIFT In India, average 5G download speeds are 19.2 times as fast as 4G speeds.
