The kiosks allow devotees to withdraw money and transfer funds to any bank account. Aadhaar-linked bank account holders from any bank can also access these services. These efforts aim to address cash-handling challenges and ensure visitors have convenient access to their funds during the event.
Merchants operating in and around the Mela grounds can deposit their daily earnings at these kiosks, eliminating the risks of carrying cash. Additionally, the bank is enabling merchants to accept digital payments through QR codes. Payment soundboxes installed at merchant outlets provide real-time audio confirmations in local languages, ensuring smoother operations.
These measures aim to reduce the dependency on cash transactions, contributing to a safer and more organised environment for everyone attending the Mela.
