In Guwahati the flag was unfurled Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya. In Dibrugarh chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hoisted the flag.
Sarma said that Dibrugarh will to be the second Capital of Assam and will have an Assembly Complex by 2027.
He said that Tezpur on Northern Bank of Brahmputra River will be Cultural Capital and will have a Raj Bhawan. Silchar in Barak valley to host Mini Secretariat and Chief Secretary's Office.
He said that new Pension Scheme to be phased out; Unified Pension Scheme will be rolled out from April 1, 2025.
