Bluey animated film announced by Disney+ and BBC; the beloved Pup hits the big screen in 2027
Bluey animated film. In her first feature film, Bluey, the puppy and star of the Bafta-winning children's television program, is making her big screen debut, as quoted in a report by BBC.
In Australia, Disney+, ABC iView, and ABC Kids will stream it after it opens in theatres in 2027. Disney and BBC Studios, the BBC's commercial division, are collaborating on the project.
What's the film about?
Living with her parents and younger sister, Bingo, is Bluey, a blue heeler dog. She creates adventures out of ordinary occurrences in her life. Joe Brumm, the show's creator, stated that he has always believed that Bluey should have a theatrical release. He wants this to be a fun experience that the whole family can share.

A blue heeler is an Australian dog breed, and the TV show was co-commissioned by ABC and BBC Studios in 2017 and is produced by the Australian production company Ludo.
It is the most popular show on CBeebies and Disney+ in the UK and is accessible in over 140 countries. According to Nielsen Media Research, it is also the most-watched series on Disney+ worldwide this year. The series has also received multiple honours, such as this year's Peabody Award and the 2023 and 2024 Television Critics Association Awards.
