Canada to start accepting new Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship applications from October 10
Canada has announced a new batch of intakes for its Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship scheme. Commencing from October 10, 2023, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will initiate the process of sending out invitations to apply to a total of 24,200 potential sponsors.
The IRCC will accept a maximum of 15,000 complete applications for the Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship program in the year 2023.
The immigration agency also said that these invitations will be dispatched over a two-week period, commencing on the same date, October 10, 2023.
A notable change in the process is that instead of opening a new interest to sponsor form, the IRCC will be sending these invitations to apply to randomly selected potential sponsors from the pool of submissions dating back to the year 2020. This approach aims to streamline the application process and maximize the utilization of existing submissions.
