Massive Crowds in India Boost Attendance
A major boost to Coldplay’s record-setting attendance figures came from their India concerts. The band played three consecutive shows in Mumbai at DY Patil Sports Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21. They then performed in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26, where more than 130,000 fans attended each night, making it the largest stadium show of the 21st century.
After concluding their India leg, Coldplay expressed their appreciation on social media, stating, «Thank you Ahmedabad, thank you India. We'll never forget these two weeks. Your love and kindness will stay with us forever.»
