Addressing the incident, CM Revanth Reddy questioned the rationale behind celebrities visiting Allu Arjun's residence in the aftermath of the tragedy. «Did Allu Arjun lose a kidney, leg, or an eye? Why was there such urgency for stars to visit him? Did anyone think of the injured boy or the grieving family?» the CM asked.
He further alleged that Allu Arjun continued his public appearances despite police warnings about potential crowd control issues. «Even after being informed about the woman’s death, the actor remained in the theatre. It was only after the police threatened to arrest him that he left. Despite this, he waved to the crowd from his car's rooftop,» said Reddy, citing videos of the incident.
Violation of Police Directives
According to the CM, the police had denied permission for Allu Arjun’s appearance at the theatre, citing safety concerns. Despite this, the actor attended the screening, drawing a massive crowd that spiraled into chaos. The theatre management had requested security for the event days in advance, but the application was rejected by the authorities due to challenges in managing such large gatherings.
Reddy criticized the actor’s behavior, stating that his actions directly contributed to the stampede-like situation. He said, “Before entering and exiting the theatre, Allu Arjun stood through the sunroof of his car, waving to the fans. This led to thousands jostling to catch a glimpse of him.”
