Allu Arjun has strongly refuted allegations made against him following a stampede at a theater during the release of his film. In a statement, he described the accusations as “humiliating” and a form of “character assassination.”
The controversy erupted after Telangana Congress leader and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticised the actor, accusing him of causing chaos by turning up at the theater. According to Reddy, Allu Arjun's presence at the venue triggered a stampede-like situation, which led to crowding and safety concerns.
However, Allu Arjun clarified that his actions were not as dramatic as the allegations suggested. He explained that he did not organize a roadshow or procession, as claimed by Reddy. «I just waved to my fans and went inside the theatre,» the actor said, emphasising that his intentions were never to cause any trouble.
In his response, Allu Arjun also expressed frustration with the manner in which the issue had been blown out of proportion, saying the allegations had unfairly tarnished his image and painted him in a negative light.
