HR manager was terminated after challenging her boss's controversial leave policy for Raksha Bandhan. The incident has sparked debate on employee rights and company policies. As per the employee's LinkdIn post, The dispute began when the boss of the company introduced a new rule stating that employees who wished to take leave for Raksha Bandhan on August 19 would face a deduction of seven days' salary instead of just one. This policy, shared via WhatsApp, was met with resistance from the HR manager, who argued that it was unfair and illegal under fundamental rights. Despite her efforts, her stance led to her dismissal.
Following her termination, the HR manager took to LinkedIn to share her experience. She explained that although she was given a two-week notice, her office access was revoked immediately. In her post, she stated, «Tried to take a stand for what was wrong as per the laws. But got a termination letter as a result.» She also shared screenshots of her conversation with her boss, who justified the policy by emphasizing the importance of attendance and the option for employees to resign if they disagreed.
In response, the company accused the HR manager of trying to gain sympathy online and claimed that she had received multiple warnings for unrelated issues before her termination. The company further alleged that she had attempted to manipulate the management by encouraging employees to take extended leave around the festival period.
