Kamala Harris is leading over former US president Donald Trump by 7 points, which is reflecting that Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is gaining support as she is preparing for the US presidential elections in 2024.
According to the survey of Reuters and Ipsos, US vice president Kamala Harris is leading by 46.61 per cent support, whereas former US president Donald Trump is leading by 40.48 per cent support, which contains a gap of 47% to 40% in favor of Kamala Harris. This margin shows a slight improvement for Harris compared to the previous edition of the poll, where she held a 5-point advantage over Trump.
As the US presidential election is round the corner, these polls demonstrate an intense battle between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. While assessing public opinion on key issues like the economy, unemployment and jobs, former US president Donald Trump narrowly outperformed US vice president Kamala Harris as 43 per cent respondents expressed confidence in Trump's approach to these critical issues while 41 per cent favored Harris's strategy. This highlights the deep concerns of voters regarding economic recovery and employment. The lead held by him on this critical issue has decreased by 1 point since August and has plummeted by 9 points since the launch of Harris's campaign, as per The Hill.
