Title Announcement and Composer
Marvel Studios revealed the title «Fantastic Four: First Steps» during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Michael Giacchino, an Oscar-winning composer, will score the film.
Director and Cast
Matt Shakman, known for his work on «WandaVision,» is directing the movie. The cast includes Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing. John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser will also appear.
Production and Script
The script has contributions from Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Peter Cameron from «WandaVision» has also worked on the screenplay.
Historical Context
The Fantastic Four made their comic debut in 1961. After an unreleased film in the 1990s, Tim Story directed a 2005 movie with Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis. This film led to a sequel in 2007 but did not impress critics, earning a 28 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
