In a consultation paper published today (27 February), the regulator set out a number of proposals for a new approach to publicising enforcement investigations. Under the plans, the FCA will publicly announce that it has opened an enforcement investigation into a firm, including the identity of the subject, and publish updates on progress if it considers that it is in the public interest to do so.
