Kamala Harris' debt-laden presidential campaign spent a staggering $2.6 million on private flights during the final weeks of the election season, according to documents released by the Federal Election Commission (FEC), as mentioned in a report by Fox News.
This revelation sheds light on the significant financial decisions made by the campaign, which is now believed to be grappling with a $20 million debt load after its defeat by President-elect Donald Trump on November 5.
The FEC filings, which were published in a report by Fox News Digital, detail the private flight expenditures for October alone, totaling $2,626,110.
These costs varied widely, from $3,500 to $940,000 per flight, with a substantial $2.2 million payment made to Private Jet Services Group, and $430,000 directed to Advanced Aviation Team, a charter flight broker.
The total amount spent on private flights for the campaign in September was $3.1 million, bringing the total flight-related expenses to over $10 million since July.
