Robert F Kennedy Jr. looks all set to be the new Health Secretary of the United States after the Senate approved him for this all-important post in the new Trump administration. There were some concerns about this nomination but the Republican-controlled Senate voted 52-48 nearly entirely along party lines to confirm Kennedy Jr. as the Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary.
This makes it yet another successful Cabinet position for Trump after Tulsi Gabbard's approval as the Director of National Intelligence only last day.
RFK Jr.'s fate has seen some massive ups and downs in the last few months, and so have his affiliations. For starters, before the US Presidential elections 2024, he was an outright Trump opposition. and even put in his name for the election race against Trump and Joe Biden.

However, RFK Jr. later on switched sides and recused himself from the election campaigning and began rooting for Trump instead. At one point there were even rumors that RFK Jr. may end up becoming the VP pick for Trump instead of JD Vance, according to previous ET reports.
Soon after Trump became the President-elect, he nominated RFK Jr. for the post of health secretary, the nomination of which has finally been passed in the Senate after an uphill battle that was ultimately decided after a decisive party line vote.
