What started as a wild experiment in a dorm room by two ambitious Stanford University doctoral students, has become a bona-fide global titan, the mainstay of people when it comes to getting answers instantly! Whether the question is something as mundane as how to cut a pineapple or something as profound as the subject of life after death, Google has an answer for everyone!
Google celebrated its 25-year journey with a colourful and quirky doodle that depicted the evolution of the logo through two decades. Taking to its blog, the search engine giant thanked fans for “25 years of curiosity,” and took them down the memory lane. “Twenty-five years ago we launched Google Search to help you find answers to questions big and small. Since then, billions of people have turned to our products to do just that — to satisfy their curiosity. To start a business. To start a journey. To cut a pineapple,” wrote the company on its blog.
The company also shared the search engine’s spectacular journey from being a one-off experiment conducted by two doctoral scholars at Stanford University, to dominating the Internet.
“Much has changed since 1998 — including our logo as seen in today’s Doodle — but the mission has remained the same: to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Billions of people from all over the globe use Google to search, connect, work, play, and SO much more,” wrote the company.
