Should You Buy
This fund morphed into a small-cap fund from its earlier avatar as a midand small-cap fund. It now takes a sharper tilt in small caps relative to many peers in the same category. Leaning towards growth and quality, it runs a highly diversified portfolio with modest positions even in top bets. Its long-term track record is erratic, with alternating bouts of outperformance and underperformance. It has hit another lean patch of late, lagging behind the index and its peers sharply. While it has generally delivered healthy outcomes over longer time frames, the fund’s struggle for consistency may not suit everyone.
