On Sunday, billionaire Jared Isaacman became the first private non-professional astronaut to take a spacewalk.
While the rest of us think we're Vasco da Gama by climbing Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu, Isaacman decided to step out of a tin can and float around in the Big Empty in SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission. Now, that'll be a great Instagram post.
If not commonplace, rich people 'spacing out' these days is becoming less imbued with 'OMG!' than it was when businessman Dennis Tito became the first space tourist in December 2001 on a Soyuz TM-32.
Companies like Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic and SpaceX have been mainstreaming space travel for very rich folks. Isaacman hasn't revealed how much his ticket cost, but folks in the know reckon 'hundreds of millions of dollars'.
