UNITED NATIONS: The UN is «obviously concerned about the impact that growing trade restriction measures can have on the global economy, particularly in developing countries and in places where there are vulnerable population,» its spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said Monday.
In relation to a pause on US foreign aid, Dujarric said «some of this is having immediate impact on life saving activities.»
Meanwhile, the chief of the World Health Organization hit back at US President Donald Trump's reasons for pulling the US out of the agency and urged Washington to reconsider.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus rejected Trump's assertion in his executive order that the agency had failed «to adopt urgently needed reforms».
