According to Fox News, in a pretty recent op-ed, Democratic strategist James Carville actually emphasized on the fact that the election results were ultimately hinged on economic issues while stating that ‘We lost for one very simple reason: It was, it is and it always will be the economy, stupid’. Adding on to that, he urged all the Democrats to reclaim the economic narrative that they have lost to Republicans specifically to US President- elect Donald Trump who successfully appealed to the middle-class and low-income voters.
