The book delves into the life of «B,» an immortal warrior who longs to terminate his unending existence. This book is Reeves' most recent literary endeavor. It builds on themes he previously explored in his comic book series "BRZRKR," in which the protagonist is an ancient figure who is half-god and half-mortal and is cursed with a propensity for extreme violence. According to Reeves, «B» was inspired by his personal experiences watching action movies, which heavily emphasize acute physicality.
The depth of Reeves' own experiences with loss informs his observations on life and death. River Phoenix, an actor, was a close friend of his who passed away tragically in 1993 at the age of 23 from a heroin overdose.
