The concert also made news for the wrong reasons as the authorities failed to control a stampede, and many fans were made to wait outside the venue due to a lack of adequate seating arrangements.
The music icon finally opened up about the fiasco.
Taking to Twitter, Rahman penned a note of heartfelt apology to his Chennai fans. He also requested those who failed to enter the premises to share a copy of their tickets with the organisers for a refund.
“Dearest Chennai Makkale, those of you who purchased tickets and weren’t able to enter owing to unfortunate circumstances, please do share a copy of your ticket purchase to arr4chennai@btos.in along with your grievances.
Our team will respond asap,” reads his tweet.

However, many disgruntled fans pointed out that there was no official apology for the ordeal faced by the fans.
