There are many obstacles in the way of NASA's plans to work with the private space industry to build new spacesuits. As per the reports of Space News, Collins Aerospace stopped work on the replacement spacesuit for the International Space Station (ISS). Collins Aerospace was chosen by NASA in June 2022 to design new suits for the ISS and Artemis trips to the Moon. Collins Aerospace declared it is abandoning the project, even though a prototype suit was successfully tested in February. NASA reported that Collins acknowledged its development timeline did not accommodate the ISS schedule and mission requirements.
The project was abandoned by Collins Aerospace for unspecified reasons. As per the reports of 'Yahoo News', experts in the field speculate that Collins could not have been able to pay for the fixed-price contract because of delays and
