Lamshed joined the firm in 2014 and has been a managing director since 2021. He would retain his current role as head of syndicate in addition to taking on head of ECM responsibilities locally.
Taylor is due to join APM as its chief strategy officer in early 2024, after leading the company’s $ 1billion float in 2021. He spent more than 20 years at the Wall Street investment bank – barring a two-year stint away – and served as its head of ECM in Canada, Latin America (ex Brazil) and finally, Australia and New Zealand.
Goldman Sachs’s local bosses Nick Sims and Zac Fletcher announced the changes internally in a staff memo on Tuesday morning.
“Aaron has demonstrated exceptional market knowledge and execution expertise, having led numerous milestone ECM transactions across a broad range of sectors,” the duo said.
“In his new role, Aaron will assume responsibility for the strategic direction and success of our ECM franchise in Australia and New Zealand, while maintaining his existing responsibilities as head of Syndicate.”
