In 2020, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia secured a hard-fought victory against BJP's Ravi Negi by a narrow margin of just 3,207 votes.
However, this time, Sisodia is not contesting from Patparganj. Instead, AAP has fielded Avadh Ojha, a well-known former UPSC exam coach and motivational speaker-turned-politician, hoping to retain the seat in its stronghold.

The constituency has a large number of Poorvanchali and Pahadi voters. They have supported AAP in recent elections. However, with a new face representing the party, the challenge of maintaining voter trust remains a crucial factor.
A three-way battle
The BJP has once again trusted Negi, who had given a tough fight to Sisodia in the previous election. With a narrow loss in 2020, Negi is looking to capitalise on the absence of Sisodia from the race and consolidate his voter base.
