Olivia Nuzzi, a former New York Magazine writer, had filed a serious legal claim against Ryan Lizza, accusing him of blackmailing her and threatening her over a book advance. She also accused Lizza of hacking her devices and stalking her during their years-long relationship. However, weeks ahead of their scheduled court hearing on November 19, Nuzzi dropped her claims.

Lizza, a Politico correspondent, strongly refuted Nuzzi's accusations. He called her claims a public relations strategy, saying that she used false allegations to damage his reputation. Lizza also revealed personal details about their relationship, including Nuzzi’s acknowledgment of entering a toxic relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., where he allegedly expressed controlling and possessive behavior.
Nuzzi's decision to withdraw her claims came after her ex’s legal team presented texts, emails, phone conversations, and third-party witness statements, which threatened to expose the falsity of her accusations. Lizza’s lawyer
