The video begins with a red-clad Santa flying over the Russian capital, declaring, “Ho, ho, ho! Hi Russians, here are your presents! Happy New Year!” Moments later, a missile destroys the sleigh. The scene then cuts to a control room, where another Santa, dressed in blue and speaking Russian, asks, “Is that it?” A uniformed man responds, “Yes, the target is destroyed.” The blue Santa replies, “Good, we don’t need anything foreign in our skies.”
Ukraine's disinformation center mocked the video, stating it reflects Russia’s “paranoia about the ‘NATO threat’ reaching new heights.”
The clip, reportedly shared on pro-Russian social media channels, has not been officially verified or attributed to an official Russian source. As per Sky News, the video surfaced shortly after the crash of an Azerbaijani Airlines plane in Kazakhstan on Christmas Day, amid speculation it was shot down by Russian air defenses.
