Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 7.10%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 5.13%), Aries Agro Ltd.(down 4.43%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 4.32%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 3.93%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 3.86%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 3.45%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 3.43%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 3.06%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.80%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 49.35 points up at 22878.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 373.62 points at 75739.79 at around 10:39AM.
HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 2.62%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.38%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.38%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.42%), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.18%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.03%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.97%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.46%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.41%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.4%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
