Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

Marico Ltd.(up 1.05%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 0.72%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.28%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.28%) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.27%) stood among the top gainers.

Adani Wilmar Ltd.(down 10.01%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(down 5.31%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(down 4.02%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 3.89%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 3.86%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 3.46%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 3.22%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.76%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(down 2.68%) and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(down 2.64%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 95.0 points at 23431.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 241.3 points at 77378.91.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 5.62%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.83%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.12%), Wipro Ltd.(up 2.83%), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.59%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.03%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.68%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.65%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.56%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.28%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
