ACME Solar Holdings Ltd.(down 9.43%), RattanIndia Power Ltd.(down 7.13%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 6.65%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 6.29%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.(down 5.99%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(down 5.45%), NLC India Ltd.(down 5.07%), GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd.(down 5.01%), Ravindra Energy Ltd.(down 5.01%) and KPI Green Energy Ltd.(down 5.00%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 263.05 points down at 22829.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 824.29 points at 75366.17.
ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.56%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.47%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.08%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.05%), State Bank of India(up 0.68%) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.22%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
