Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.32%

Shares of Maruti Suzuki(up 0.89 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 0.38 per cent), Bosch(up 0.36 per cent) and Eicher Motors(up 0.08 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 1.43 per cent), Tata Motors(down 1.02 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.67 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.66 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(down 0.61 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Auto index closed 0.32 per cent down at 15526.8. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 146.95 points at 19711.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 529.03 points at 66589.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red. Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, PNB and Zee Ent.
