Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.01% in a weak market
Ipca Laboratories(up 2.69 per cent), Gland Pharma(up 1.75 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.62 per cent), Sanofi India(up 1.11 per cent) and Pfizer(up 1.1 per cent) were among the top gainers. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 3.09 per cent), Laurus(down 2.62 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(down 1.17 per cent), Cipla(down 1.06 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories(down 0.72 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.01 per cent at 14918.85 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 61.15 points at 19598.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 274.56 points at 65992.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
