Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.02% in an upbeat market

IDFCBANK(up 3.14 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 1.55 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 1.28 per cent), Axis Bank(up 0.9 per cent) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.8 per cent) were among the top gainers. AU Small Finance Bank(down 4.34 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 3.34 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was down 0.02 per cent at 46066.65 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 3.8 points at 19748.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 6.16 points at 66690.42.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Utkarsh Small Financ and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kriti Nutrients, Sarveshwar Foods, Aarti Drugs, SJVN and D.K. Enterprises Glo hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanwaria Consumer, Zee Learn, Setubandhan Infra, Pentagon Rubber and Drone Destination hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
