Stock market update: Nifty IT index 0.66%

Shares of MphasiS Ltd.(up 3.43 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 3.42 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 2.85 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 2.1 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.66 per cent at 43618.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 314.66 points at 24221.9, while the BSE Sensex stood 992.74 points at 80109.85.
