Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.28% in a weak market
Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.79 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.51 per cent) and L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Infosys Ltd.(down 1.96 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.28 per cent at 30762.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.3 points at 19273.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 13.63 points at 64558.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, YES Bank, IOB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
