Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.24% in a weak market
Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.24 per cent at 30644.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 47.45 points at 19347.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 170.52 points at 64661.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JP Power, Reliance Power and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of CarTrade Tech, Sharda Motor, Venus Remedies, KPI Global Infra and Action Const. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while M K Proteins, Hindcon Chemicals, Compuage Infocom, Campus Activewear and Petronet LNG hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
