Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.99% in a weak market
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.07 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.99 per cent at 645.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.75 points at 19390.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 116.71 points at 64841.98.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
