Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.38% in an upbeat market

Lupin Ltd.(up 3.07 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 3.04 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent) and Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) and Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.38 per cent at 22198.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 240.71 points at 24357.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 844.14 points at 79730.36.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.
Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JP Power and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of 3P Land Holdings, Airan Ltd., Garware Poly, Authum Investment and Raghav Productivity hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sakuma Exports, Avalon Technologies, Focus Lighting, Nandani Creation and Ravindra Energy hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
