Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.23% in a weak market
Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 3.92 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.23 per cent at 617.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 115.8 points at 19678.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 406.39 points at 66002.0.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, MMTC, IFCI, Indian Railway Fin and ITI Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Jai Corp, ITI Ltd, HSIL, GFL Ltd. and MMTC hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baid Leasing, Winsome Yarns, Rajesh Exports, Accuracy Shipping and Shree Vasu Logistics hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
