Stock market update: Power stocks down as market rises

Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 4.23%), JSW Energy(up 3.45%), SJVN(up 2.60%), NHPC(up 1.81%), PTC India(up 1.28%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 1.28%), Energy Development Company(up 1.23%), Hitachi Energy India(up 0.99%), DPSC(up 0.60%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 0.48%) were among the top gainers.
RTNPOWER(down 4.35%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 2.42%), KPI Green Energy(down 1.88%), KEC International(down 1.83%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.64%), Alstom T&D India(down 1.55%), Inox wind(down 1.50%), Inox Wind Energy(down 1.35%), Kalpataru Projects International(down 1.29%) and NLC India(down 0.85%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 14.1 points up at 19756.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 70.84 points at 66301.08 at around 11:25AM.
IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.92%), State Bank of India(up 1.81%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.71%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.55%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.52%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.48%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.46%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.1%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.0%) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.88%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
