Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises
DCM Shriram Industries(up 3.17%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 1.51%), Rana Sugars(up 1.26%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 1.24%), BAJAJHIND(up 1.17%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 0.78%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 0.76%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 0.61%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.51%) and Bannari Amman Sugars(up 0.47%) were among the top gainers. Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 0.33%) and Uttam Sugar Mills(down 0.14%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 17.95 points up at 19416.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 69.27 points at 65515.31 at around 09:59AM. Britannia Industries(up 2.53%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 2.33%), Nestle India(up 1.71%), Reliance Industries(up 1.61%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.36%), Coal India(up 1.36%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.15%), SBI Life(up 1.01%), Cipla(up 0.88%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.8%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
