Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls
Lexus Granito(up 2.37%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.18%), Aro Granite Industries(up 1.11%), MOIL(up 1.11%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.75%), Pokarna(up 0.50%), 20 Microns(up 0.48%), Coal India(up 0.45%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 0.33%) and NMDC Ltd(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers. Oriental Trimex(down 0.83%) and KIOCL(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 7.05 points down at 19432.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 18.61 points at 65599.23 at around 10:24AM. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.13%), Eicher Motors(up 0.83%), NTPC(up 0.75%), HDFC(up 0.71%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.67%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.53%), HDFC Bank(up 0.47%), Reliance Industries(up 0.47%), Coal India(up 0.45%) and Nestle India(up 0.4%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
