Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

DCM Shriram Industries(up 2.54%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.62%), Mawana Sugars(up 0.58%) and AVADHSUGAR(up 0.32%) were among the top gainers. Sakthi Sugars(down 1.56%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 1.19%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 1.18%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 1.08%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 0.90%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 0.86%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 0.85%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.82%), BAJAJHIND(down 0.82%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.79%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 42.85 points down at 19617.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 212.53 points at 66054.29 at around 10:34AM. NTPC(up 2.75%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.13%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.62%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.46%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.27%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.23%), Nestle India(up 1.21%), Eicher Motors(up 0.78%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.66%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.66%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
