Stock market update: Mining stocks mixed as market rises
Ashapura Minechem(up 5.87%), 20 Microns(up 5.00%), Lexus Granito(up 1.55%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.06%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.70%), Coal India(up 0.41%) and MOIL(up 0.13%) were among the top gainers. Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.82%), Oriental Trimex(down 1.65%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.70%), Pokarna(down 0.55%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.18%) and KIOCL(down 0.05%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 24.0 points up at 19769.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 67.99 points at 66752.25 at around 11:10AM. Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.72%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.54%), SBI Life(up 1.42%), Grasim Industries(up 1.28%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.23%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.16%), Tata Motors(up 1.02%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.95%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.94%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.91%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
