Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

ADANIGREEN(up 6.82%), Karma Energy(up 4.95%), CESC(up 3.94%), Torrent Power(up 3.54%), KEC International(up 2.90%), Orient Green Power Company(up 2.88%), DPSC(up 2.51%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.35%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.96%) and Indowind Energy(up 1.87%) were among the top gainers. Suzlon Energy(down 5.00%), RTNPOWER(down 3.88%), SJVN(down 2.93%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.51%), Reliance Power(down 0.94%), NHPC(down 0.90%), Adani Transmissions(down 0.87%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 0.86%), Inox Wind Energy(down 0.26%) and NTPC(down 0.22%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 118.05 points up at 19798.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 447.88 points at 66803.59 at around 10:04AM. Larsen & Toubro(up 4.05%), Reliance Industries(up 1.8%), ITC(up 1.5%), Tata Motors(up 1.42%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.21%), UPL Ltd(up 1.13%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.05%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.01%), Adani Enterprises(up 0.99%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.94%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
