Stock market update: Power stocks down as market falls
Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 7.68%), Inox wind(up 6.62%), Voltamp Transformers(up 4.20%), Inox Wind Energy(up 3.60%), NLC India(up 3.50%), Adani Power(up 2.54%), Hitachi Energy India(up 2.49%), Indowind Energy(up 2.23%), ADANIGREEN(up 1.90%) and PTC India(up 1.58%) stood among the top gainers. Orient Green Power Company(down 7.24%), Reliance Power(down 4.56%), KPI Green Energy(down 3.51%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.60%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 2.37%), KEC International(down 2.17%), GE Power India Limited(down 2.11%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 2.10%), Karma Energy(down 1.86%) and Alstom T&D India(down 1.59%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 26.45 points down at 19570.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 106.98 points at 65846.5. Hero MotoCorp(up 3.82%), SBI Life(up 3.59%), Cipla(up 3.5%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.84%), Wipro(up 1.26%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.15%), State Bank of India(up 0.92%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.72%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.7%) and Axis Bank(up 0.58%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
