Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises
Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.10%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 2.41%), BAJAJHIND(up 2.40%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 1.99%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(up 1.73%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 1.73%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 1.48%), Sakthi Sugars(up 1.41%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 1.33%) and Simbhaoli Sugars(up 1.25%) were among the top gainers. EID Parry(down 1.14%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.52%) and Bannari Amman Sugars(down 0.26%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 18.4 points up at 19457.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 56.04 points at 65673.88 at around 11:17AM. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.85%), Eicher Motors(up 1.47%), NTPC(up 1.14%), State Bank of India(up 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.86%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.76%), Reliance Industries(up 0.68%), HDFC(up 0.55%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.5%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.49%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
