Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises
Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.(up 5.69%), Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 5.58%), Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 5.56%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(up 4.87%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.59%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 4.17%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 4.11%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(up 4.09%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 3.95%) and Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 3.92%) were among the top gainers.
Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(down 4.22%) and KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 0.14%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 130.55 points up at 23087.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 388.09 points at 76289.5 at around 11:22AM.
Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 2.89%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.57%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.38%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.17%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.9%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.9%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.81%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.8%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.72%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.71%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
