Sutak Kaal is a period considered inauspicious from a religious perspective. During this time, certain activities are prohibited. Sutak Kaal begins 9 to 12 hours before the solar eclipse. However, it is only observed if the eclipse is visible in a particular region. Since the upcoming solar eclipse will not be visible from India, Sutak Kaal will not be applicable.

The eclipse will be visible in several regions, including New York City, Boston, Montreal, and Quebec. Other parts of Africa, Siberia, the Caribbean, and Europe will also experience a partial eclipse.
In the United States, the eclipse will begin at approximately 4:50 am EDT, peak at 6:47 am EDT, and conclude at 8:43 am EDT. In India, the event will technically start at 2:20 pm IST, peak at 4:17 pm IST, and end at 6:13 pm IST. However, due to the alignment and time difference, the eclipse will not be visible in the country.
