Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Bengaluru, following a hoax bomb threat allegedly issued a laid off employee of the company, reports said on November 14. The threat was received in the B block of TCS Think Campus during the morning hours, ETV Bharat reported, citing sources.
Subsequently, the company alerted the local Parappana Agrahara police station. A team of police officials, along with the bomb disposal squad, rushed to the location after being alerted.
The bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a thorough inspection at the TCS premises, the reports said, adding that nothing suspicious was found during their inspection. A further investigation by the police indicated that a Hubli-based former TCS employee made the hoax threat call, the reports added.
The identity of the accused was not revealed in the preliminary reports, but she was identified as a female ex-employee, who allegedly committed the act out of anger. (This is a developing story)Milestone Alert!
