Netflix announced the renewal of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for Season 2. The news follows the release of Season 1, which premiered on October 10. This first season spans eight episodes and holds a 73% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In Season 2, Lara Croft, voiced by Hayley Atwell, embarks on a journey to retrieve stolen African Orisha masks. She collaborates with her best friend, Sam, voiced by Karen Fukuhara, to uncover secrets surrounding these ancient artifacts. The journey will lead them to confront a powerful billionaire who seeks the same artifacts. The season will focus on the hidden powers and dark mysteries surrounding these masks, as well as the ancient history of the Orisha culture.
